Two products called eSIM
A local eSIM is issued by Maroc Telecom, Orange or inwi and may include a Moroccan number. A travel eSIM is usually an international data plan using roaming.

Which option fits your trip length
For a few days, a plan installed before the flight is convenient. For several weeks, local calls or repeated top-ups, a Moroccan line may offer better value.
Actual coverage depends on the partner network and your itinerary, especially beyond Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fez and Tangier.
Costs and restrictions to read
- Whether validity starts at installation or first connection.
- Full-speed allowance and any speed cap.
- Hotspot or tethering rules.
- Whether a phone number, calls and texts are included.
Set up before you arrive
- Install over Wi-Fi but avoid starting the plan too early.
- Label both SIM lines to prevent accidental roaming on your home SIM.
- After landing, select the eSIM for data and enable roaming only if instructed.
