Check eSIM-compatible iPhones in Morocco, from iPhone XS, XR and later, including regional exceptions, dual eSIM and the EID test.
Compatible iPhone generations
iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and later generations support eSIM according to Apple. iPhone 13 and later can use two active eSIMs in supported configurations.
Some models sold in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao use different SIM arrangements. Recent US models can be eSIM-only.
Country-of-purchase exceptions
In Morocco, open Settings, General, About and match the model to Apple documentation and operator requirements.
An iPhone locked to an overseas carrier can reject a Moroccan eSIM even when the hardware supports it.
Check EID and carrier lock
- EID in About or from *#06#.
- Add eSIM option under Mobile Data.
- No SIM restrictions in carrier-lock information.
- Latest supported iOS installed.
Before adding a Moroccan plan
- Confirm the model and original sales market.
- Get the QR code from Maroc Telecom, Orange or inwi.
- Add the plan and choose the data line.
